Jess Cornelius is a Portland-based artist whose vibrant and whimsical works bring a playful, uplifting energy to every canvas. Painting primarily with acrylics, Jess creates small and large pieces that blend bold colors, humor, and heartfelt creativity. Inspired by artists like Roy Lichtenstein for his striking comic style and Julie Doucet for her underground femininity, Jess’s work strikes a unique balance between lowbrow art and positive storytelling.

Growing up in Humboldt County, California, Jess discovered art as a means of self-expression and community-building. After years in the corporate design world, Jess now dedicates their time to embracing the freedom and passion of full-time artistry. Jess infuses their work with joy, imagination, and a touch of mischief, fostering connection and delight in all who experience it.
